State of Montana Hospital Preparedness Program Supervisor (07162) in Helena, Montana

This position provides statewide leadership and direction for the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), ensuring compliance with the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Cooperative Agreement and alignment with state and federal preparedness requirements. The HPP Supervisor oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies that strengthen health care system readiness and build capabilities across hospitals, Montana’s four Health Care Coalitions (HCCs), and other Emergency Support Function 8 (ESF8) partners. The position is responsible for program planning, grant and budget administration, coordination of emergency preparedness and response activities, and ongoing collaboration with local, tribal, regional, and state agencies. Additionally, the supervisor manages program staff and ensures effective delivery of core functions including health care system surge planning, medical countermeasure and information management support, and other statewide emergency preparedness initiatives. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * Knowledge of public health practice, emergency preparedness principles, and foundational concepts in disease prevention and control. * Skill in researching, analyzing, and developing public health or health care preparedness interventions, policies, and program strategies. * Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in health science, health education, behavioral or social science, or a related degree. o Two years of job-related experience in health programming or health education. o One year of supervisor experience is preferred. o Fundamental understanding of grant management. o Understanding of hospital emergency preparedness or emergency management principles preferred. o Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
