Under the general supervision of the Criminal Justice Services Behavioral Health Programs Supervisor, this position provides behavioral health, social and environmental assessments and case management services to individuals housed in the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center. Look here to learn more and see if you may qualify!ohttps://fed-pro.org/public-service/Other BenefitsIncludes:•Working in a fast-paced environment•Opportunity to serve on a variety of different committees•Professional development and training opportunities•Cost of living increases•Market adjustments•Step based wage increases•Paid parental leave Duties•Provides behavioral health case management services to individuals detained in the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center; •Performs health, social, and environmental screenings and assessments;•Develops behavioral health case management plans to facilitate incarcerated individuals’ re-entry back into the community; •Assists in community outreach statewide;•Assists in data entry, tracking and reporting of required program utilization; •Provides incarcerated individuals with support, advocacy, and linkage to community support services and organizations; •Coordinates services with community agencies;•Monitors incarcerated individuals’ progress towards achieving plan goals;•Maintains records and documentation;•Prepares reports on case management activities;•Provides crisis intervention and assistance as necessary;•Collaborates with the courts, attorneys, Probation & Parole, and the Department of Corrections to support communication and advocate for incarcerated individuals’ behavioral health needs;•Serves as the primary liaison between the Behavioral Health team members, Detention Center medical staff, and detention personnel to coordinate care and support effective communication;•Provides oversight of the County’s Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Bridges Program, including screening for medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) eligibility, coordination of treatment services, data tracking, and serving as the primary point of contact for the program;•Maintains MAT Bridges Program data and monitoring activities, including tracking participant appointments, treatment engagement, and community placements to support continuity of care and adherence;•Works closely with the Pretrial Services Program and assigned officers to coordinate behavioral health support and services for incarcerated individuals on their caseloads;•Performs other duties as assigned.Other Functions:•Attends meetings, specialized training courses, conferences and workshops as requested;•Acts as a mandatory reporter, to include the Prison Raper Elimination Act (PREA).This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities required for this job. Examples of Skills & Abilities •Organize resources;•Establish priorities; •Prepare reports according to prescribed standards;•Enter patient data into data management systems;•Listen and understand information presented through spoken words; •Observe, receive and obtain information from relevant sources;•Understand and follows oral and/or written policies, procedures, and instructions;•Operate computer systems and related software;•Communicate effectively orally and in writing; •Work with underserved, transient populations, and clients with co-occurring disorders;•Establish effective working relationships with offenders, defendants, fellow employees, supervisors, community service organizations/ representatives, and citizens.Qualifications The knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a four (4) year degree in, social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; one (1) year experience in case management. Experience providing outreach to vulnerable populations preferred. •Completion of Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) required or must be completed within first 18 months of date of hire;•Criminal Justice Information Network (CJIN) annual training;•Information & Technology Services (IT&S) trainings.Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Special RequirementsMust pass a criminal background check. Physical DemandsDuties generally performed, in the Detention Center, where hazards and discomforts are controlled and modifiable. This position requires the ability to stand, bend at the waist, kneel, reach over the head, talk, hear, and see. Must be able to move or lift documents and materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Position requires knowledge and use of typical office equipment including telephones, copiers, fax machines, and personal computers. Position requires frequent contact with defendants and inmates, and occasional contact with community service agencies and citizens.
