MiniMed Senior Program Manager - Global Warehousing in Heerlen, Netherlands

About the Role
As a Senior Warehouse Program Manager, you lead the end‑to‑end strategy, planning, and execution of warehouse setups across multiple countries to support the MiniMed business. You manage complex global programs by collaborating with third‑party logistics (3PL) providers and partnering closely with cross‑functional teams - including Quality, Regulatory, IT, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, Procurement, and Customer Care.
Your responsibilities include selecting and onboarding 3PL partners, defining operational requirements, overseeing system integrations, ensuring regulatory and quality compliance, and driving warehouse readiness through go‑live and stabilization. You establish global standards, mitigate risks, and ensure each warehouse supports efficient, compliant, and customer‑focused distribution.
In this role, you play a critical part in expanding MiniMed’s global logistics network, enabling reliable product availability and supporting business growth in international markets.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Global Warehouse Program Leadership
Lead the planning, implementation, and execution of warehousing programs across multiple international locations.
Develop global playbooks, standard operating frameworks, and scalable templates for warehouse setup and onboarding.
Manage and review program timelines, budgets, deliverables, and risk mitigation plans.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
3PL Selection & Management
Evaluate, select, and contract with third‑party logistics (3PL) providers in each country.
Ensure 3PL partners meet service level, compliance, quality, and cost expectations.
Drive periodic business reviews, KPIs, and issue resolution with 3PL teams.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with:
Regulatory & Quality – ensure warehouses meet medical device storage standards, ISO 13485, GDP, and country-specific requirements.
Trade Compliance – ensure proper import/export processes and documentation readiness.
Customer Care & Commercial Teams – align warehouse capabilities with customer fulfillment expectations.
IT / Digital – lead WMS integrations, EDI connections, and data flow mapping.
Finance & Procurement – manage contract negotiations, budgeting, and cost optimization.
Operational Setup & Go‑Live Execution
Define facility requirements, storage conditions, product handling workflows, and operational KPIs.
Lead readiness assessments, SOP creation, training coordination, and validation activities.
Oversee inventory transitions, system testing, UAT, and go‑live rollout.
Stabilize operations post‑launch and hand over to regional operations teams.
Compliance & Quality
Ensure all warehouse operations comply with FDA, EU MDR, ISO standards, and local regulatory requirements.
Support audits, CAPA processes, and quality reviews with internal and external partners.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency, cost, accuracy, and service levels.
Analyze performance data and drive corrective actions where needed.
Benchmark against industry best practices for medical device warehousing and distribution.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations
Proven experience in leading international warehouse implementations, preferably in regulated industries (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare)
Strong knowledge of 3PL management, warehouse management systems (WMS), and global distribution models
Demonstrated experience in people leadership and managing complex, cross-functional programs
