About the Role
As a Logistics Supervisor, you will oversee a team of support staff to ensure the efficient flow of raw materials, finished goods, services, and information from origin to customer. You will manage day-to-day logistics operations, coach and develop your team, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high standards for customer service and operational excellence. This role combines hands-on execution with people management responsibilities, ensuring your team meets departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
Control and manage the flow of goods, services, and information from suppliers to manufacturing sites and customers.
Ensure execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, including replenishment systems, demand management, and electronic data systems.
Meet customer service and timing objectives within financial constraints.
Build and maintain relationships with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve delivery issues.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of support staff, providing day-to-day direction, performance guidance, and feedback.
Plan operational objectives, allocate resources, and maintain steady workflow and productivity.
Recommend process improvements and adjustments to enhance team performance and efficiency.
Candidate Profile
First-level supervisor with experience managing teams of production, technician, or clerical staff.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational skills.
Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to balance hands-on execution with coaching and team development.
Requirements
High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or equivalent with 5+ years relevant experience in Supply Chain/LogisticsOR
Associate’s Degree with 3+ years experience OR
Bachelor’s Degree with 1+ year experience.
