About the Role
Logistics Supervisor for Heerlen Minimed Distribution Center.
As a Logistics Supervisor, you will oversee a team of support personnel—including production, technician, or clerical staff—to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods, services, and information from origin to customer. You will provide tactical guidance, monitor team performance, and implement process improvements while supporting employee development, engagement, and operational excellence. This role combines hands-on logistics execution with first-level people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the flow of raw materials, finished goods, services, and information to meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
Ensure execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, including replenishment systems, demand management, and data systems administration.
Achieve customer service and timing objectives within financial constraints.
Build and maintain relationships with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve delivery issues.
Supervise and provide day-to-day guidance to a team of support staff, maintaining workflow, resource allocation, and productivity.
Recommend adjustments or enhancements to department processes to improve efficiency and performance.
Provide input on hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, and rewards for direct reports.
Candidate Profile
First-level supervisor experienced in managing teams of support personnel in logistics, supply chain, production, or clerical functions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational skills.
Effective communicator able to exchange information and influence outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to balance hands-on work with coaching and team development responsibilities.
Requirements
High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or equivalent with 5+ years relevant experience in Supply Chain/Logistics OR
Associate’s Degree with 3+ years relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s Degree with 1+ year relevant experience.
