MiniMed Logistics Outflow Manager in Heerlen, Netherlands

About the Role

As a Logistics Manager, you will lead a team of supervisors and experienced logistics professionals to ensure the seamless flow of raw materials, finished goods, services, and information from origin to customer. You will oversee daily operations, implement process improvements, and drive continuous performance enhancements while mentoring your team and fostering a culture of engagement, development, and accountability. This role balances tactical, operational, and strategic responsibilities to meet business and customer objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control the flow of goods, services, and information through the supply chain to meet manufacturing and customer requirements.

  • Ensure execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, including replenishment systems, demand management, and electronic data systems administration.

  • Achieve customer service and timing objectives within financial constraints while maintaining operational excellence.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve delivery issues.

  • Integrate market intelligence from operations, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to enhance competitive positioning.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor supervisors and experienced specialists, providing direction, performance feedback, and development opportunities.

  • Establish operational plans, implement policies, and oversee resource allocation, budgets, and departmental objectives.

  • Recommend improvements to processes and policies to optimize efficiency and performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced leader with advanced knowledge in logistics and supply chain operations.

  • Skilled in tactical, operational, and some strategic planning, with the ability to manage complex issues.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, capable of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of developing talent, managing performance, and achieving departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams of supervisors and specialist-level professionals.

  • Practical knowledge of logistics processes, project execution, and operational management.

  • Experience in process improvement, policy implementation, and cross-functional collaboration.
