MiniMed Logistics Inflow Manager in Heerlen, Netherlands

About the Role

As a Logistics Manager, you will lead a team of supervisors and experienced professionals to ensure the efficient flow of raw materials, finished goods, services, and information from origin to customer. You will oversee logistics operations, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring high customer satisfaction and alignment with financial objectives. This role combines tactical, operational, and strategic leadership responsibilities, including mentoring, performance management, and talent development within your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the flow of goods, services, and information from suppliers to manufacturing sites and customers, meeting production and customer requirements.

  • Oversee and continuously improve logistics processes, including replenishment systems, demand management, data interchange systems, and related functions.

  • Ensure customer service and timing objectives are met within financial constraints.

  • Build and maintain relationships with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve delivery issues.

  • Integrate market intelligence from operations, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to improve competitive positioning.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and experienced professionals within the logistics team.

  • Establish operational plans, implement policies, and monitor performance to achieve departmental goals.

  • Manage budgets, resources, and team performance, authorizing hiring, promotion, and rewards as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced leader with a proven ability to manage supervisors and professional staff in logistics or supply chain operations.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex operational environments.

  • Effective communicator capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Skilled in process improvement, operational excellence, and team development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Advanced knowledge and skills in logistics, supply chain management, or a related technical/professional discipline.

  • Proven experience in managing teams, driving operational performance, and implementing process improvements.
