About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections of plant or office facilities, machinery, and equipment. You will use your technical expertise to troubleshoot, test, and repair equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operation. This role also includes mentoring junior technicians and contributing to minor projects to improve maintenance processes and overall equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Perform repairs and maintenance in facilities or on machines and equipment across trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.
Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to prevent equipment and facility breakdowns.
Use hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance.
Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
Provide guidance, coaching, and training to junior employees within the maintenance area.
Candidate Profile
Seasoned individual contributor with strong technical skills and hands-on experience in multiple maintenance trades.
Capable of running minor projects, interpreting data, and developing technical reports.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to independently propose solutions for technical issues.
Effective communicator with internal stakeholders to provide and obtain technical information.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in maintenance or technical roles.
Vocational or technical education or certification preferred.
Practical knowledge and experience in equipment repair, troubleshooting, and facility maintenance.
Ability to work independently under limited supervision while mentoring others.
