Job Title: Production and Receiving Associate
Job Description
The Production and Receiving Associate is responsible for the careful handling, processing, and treatment of customer inventory in a busy industrial environment. This role focuses on following detailed work instructions, performing precise post-processing operations using hand and power tools, and maintaining accurate documentation to prevent loss or damage. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and collaboration with supervisors to support continuous improvement in operations.
Responsibilities
Review job folders thoroughly to verify the specific areas of each part to be processed, including masked, post-processing, and grit blast areas.
Perform visual inspections of parts to identify any defects or irregularities before and after processing.
Use various hand tools and power tools to perform post-processing operations in accordance with work instructions and job folder requirements.
Record, document, and sign off on all applicable data as defined in the job folder to ensure accurate tracking and traceability.
Report all problems, inaccuracies in job folders, damaged parts, and issues with post-processing materials promptly to the Lead or Supervisor.
Follow in-process inspection procedures to verify that current operations meet customer specifications and job folder requirements.
Assist the supervisor in developing and refining processes that improve operational efficiency, quality, and safety.
Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
Keep the work area neat, clean, and orderly at all times to support safety, quality, and productivity.
Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental standards and company procedures.
Work effectively in a fast-paced, busy production environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Handle and care for customer inventory in a safe and responsible manner to prevent loss, damage, or contamination.
Essential Skills
Ability to work in both sitting and standing positions for extended periods in an office and industrial environment.
Strong manual dexterity and steady hands to perform detailed post-processing operations with a high degree of precision.
High attention to detail when inspecting parts, following work instructions, and completing documentation.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production and manufacturing processes.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Demonstrated organizational skills to manage job folders, work instructions, and in-process documentation.
Ability to accurately record, document, and sign off on process data as required.
Capability to work productively in a busy, fast-paced environment while meeting quality and safety standards.
Eligibility to meet ITAR compliance requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using hand tools to perform manual processes is preferred.
Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Familiarity with material handling in an industrial setting is beneficial.
Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated industries is an advantage.
Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with supervisors and team members.

Work Environment
The role is based in a busy, fast-paced industrial facility that is not climate controlled. Team members work in both sitting and standing positions for extended periods, handling parts and materials in a production setting. The shop is kept clean and orderly, and employees use a variety of hand and power tools to perform detailed post-processing tasks. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and forms an essential part of the safety culture. The environment emphasizes adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, with proper waste disposal procedures and a strong focus on maintaining an organized workspace. Standard work is performed on 8-hour shifts, providing a consistent daily schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
