Wolf Grain Farms, LLP Farm Worker in Hazen, North Dakota
Temporary position from 03/01/2026 to 12/31/2026 North Dakota Job Order 40 hours/week 12.31/hour Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to till soil; work ground; prepare and maintain land; and plant, irrigate, fertilize, spray, cultivate, harvest, and transport crops to elevator or storage area. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, sprayers, combines, back-hoes, mowers, and track-hoes. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Job also requires loading seed into planters; properly mixing chemicals; loading chemicals into sprayers; changing combine cutting heads; rouging fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, trash, and other objects from fields; welding; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, property borders, gates, barns and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; regularly servicing equipment; receiving crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and shoveling grain. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer. Employer will make all deductions required by law (e.g., federal/state tax withholdings, court ordered child support, etc.). If workers voluntarily and explicitly authorize the employer in writing, the employer may deduct income taxes from H-2A worker wages. When explicitly authorized by the worker in writing, the cost of elected healthcare benefits; reimbursement of approved cash advances; retirement plan contributions; cell phone, cable/satellite TV, internet or other service(s) for workers' benefit and convenience may be deducted from workers' pay. Employer may charge reasonable costs for lost, replacement, or damaged tools, equipment, or property or fines for acts committed by the worker on the road while driving an employer provided vehicle, and he or she is at fault. Continued in Addendum C. Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions, extensive sitting or walking, and periods of performing repetitive movements. Random criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure a safe housing and work environment for all workers.
