ManpowerGroup Maintenance Technician - General Assembly in Hayward, California

Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicles, is seeking a Maintenance Technician - General Assembly to join their dedicated team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be an integral part of the Maintenance Department supporting multiple operational sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician - General Assembly

Location: Hayward, California

Pay Range: $35-40/h + Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Support the creation and development of preventative maintenance procedures and standards under the supervision of the Equipment and Maintenance Manager

  • Work with equipment vendors to perform major maintenance procedures

  • Perform or manage maintenance on all vehicle assembly equipment

  • Respond to downtime events, equipment alarms, and production-related support requests

  • Perform root cause analysis on equipment and quality-related issues

What's Needed?

  • 3 to 10 years of experience working with industrial automation, automotive shop equipment, automotive/aerospace assembly equipment, or equivalent

  • Strong electrical (12VDC to 480VAC) and mechanical knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of robotics, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, vehicle lifts, and DC tooling

  • Good computer skills and ability to read 2D and 3D prints and schematics

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and support multiple local operations sites (Hayward and Fremont)
