Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Position Overview

Baby Bear Hugs is seeking a compassionate and organized Coordinator / Parenting Educator to support program operations while working directly with families. This position combines administrative coordination, community outreach, and event planning with in-home parenting education. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development and committed to empowering families through education, resources, and supportive relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Family Education & Support
  • Meet with families in their homes to provide education and connections to community resources that strengthen and empower families.
  • Educate parents on physical, emotional, and developmental milestones in young children.
  • Assist parents in developing effective parenting skills and strategies.
  • Implement curriculum-based programs that support raising children in warm, trusting, and nurturing environments.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of family interactions and progress.
Program Coordination & Community Outreach
  • Coordinate program-related administrative tasks to support efficient operations.
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and community partners using technology and written communication.
  • Educate agencies, organizations, and the public about Baby Bear Hugs programs and services.
  • Assist with planning and organizing meetings, community outreach activities, and fundraising events.
  • Travel locally to meetings, outreach activities, and events as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate of Arts degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with children and families (examples include childcare provider, parent, daycare worker, or preschool educator).
  • Knowledge of child development and willingness to learn about community resources.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Writing and computer skills sufficient to communicate with staff and clients and maintain program documentation.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
