We are seeking a Material Handler to join our team.
The Material Handler / Floor Associate plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency within our purchasing and maintenance departments. This positionis responsible forthe safe flow of materials throughout the operation while also ensuring thatworkspaces and equipment are properlymaintained, functional, and compliant with safety standards. The role requires adaptability, strong commitment to workplaceand communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and store raw materials, supplies, and finished products
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts
- Stage materials for purchasing,production, shipping, or distribution
- Verify materials against packing slips or work orders
- Follow safety procedures for handling materials and equipment
- Prepare a variety of shipments that could involve pallet strapping/wrapping
- Conduct basic preventative floor maintenance tasks as scheduled
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
- Assistwith equipment setup, teardown, and relocations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previousexperience in material handling, warehouse operations
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with basic PC skills
- Basic knowledge of safety practices
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand basic english
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers
A valid Driver's license is mandatory and have the ability to stand long periods and occasionally lift 55lbs.
