Microchip Technologi Principal Engineer-Process Improvement (PEPI-PSA) in Hauppauge, New York
Apply lean manufacturing methods to enhance quality, reliability and cost effectiveness. Investigate operational opportunities to improve manufacturing processes at the wafer or package level to reduce costs, using knowledge of the fabrication process, tooling and equipment, assembly methods and quality standards improve level of quality and meet business targets. Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving design, materials or processes. Support development, implementation, debugging, sustaining efforts for production, qualification support and device characterization. Development and characterization of DC parameters and digital logic testing at both the wafer and package level to provide high quality devices to customers with minimum cost. Analyze data by identifying principles, reasons or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Evaluate operations processes or products to determine root cause of failures. Drive continuous improvement efforts surrounding automotive level quality and test time reduction (TTR) to meet target business unit gross margins.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, related experience.
