Environmental Technician - First Shift

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in Hatfield, PA as a first shift environmental technician. This role is essential for managing and transporting waste materials, with a focus on safety and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Transport labeled drums of waste, ensuring accurate identification of contents.

  • Load and offload drums onto trucks safely and efficiently.

  • Separate hazardous waste from non-hazardous waste and organize them in the warehouse.

  • Operate within safety protocols and contribute to a culture of environmental stewardship.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or Chemistry, or one year of experience in a related industry.

  • Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.

  • Capability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 40 certification is a plus.

  • Experience with soil sampling and handling hazardous materials.

  • 40 Hour Hazwoper certification is advantageous but not required.

Work Environment

The role involves working both indoors and outdoors in an environmental field, with exposure to varying climate conditions. Be prepared to work in non-climate-controlled environments. Safety and employee care are prioritized, with a commitment to providing the best equipment for protection.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
