CITY OF HASTINGS Street Maintenance Worker in HASTINGS, Nebraska
[[DESCRIPTION OF WORK [[Under the supervision of the Street Crew Leader, performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor tasks in the operation, construction, maintenance and repair of City streets, sidewalks, buildings and other municipal facilities. - Must possess a valid driver's license with a Class B, license with removal of air break restriction within six months of hire date.
- May be required to obtain and maintain a herbicide applicators license.
- May be required to obtain flagger certification.

- Repair concrete, asphalt and gravel streets
- Repair curb and gutters and building of storm sewer inlets/pipes.
- Mowing, debris pick up and ditch maintenance
- Operation and maintenance of small to large trucks and a variety of hand held and driven maintenance equipment.
- Set up and tear down of temporary traffic control devices according to the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices
- Performs snow and debris removal functions including sanding and salting streets.
