Role Summary:
The General Maintenance Mechanic ensures correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system.
This is a 1st shift opportunity with overtime (as necessary)
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment.
Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics. Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
Work with a maintenance supervisor to continually update the production process and system software.
Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.
Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists, and hand tools.
Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers, and specifications.
Maintain parts and tool inventory.
Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis, and trends.
Maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical knowledge via ongoing training, industry workshops, and technical reading.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
5+ years of relevant maintenance/mechanical experience
Industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience
Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics
Basic understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment
Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
Previous electrical experience
High School Diploma/GED
