Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises staff and inmates assigned to general maintenance of physical plant; plans, schedules and coordinates maintenance and/or new construction activity Evaluates maintenance needs and determines best method of repair or installation; outlines and directs a preventive maintenance program Assists in preparation of budget estimates; maintains records and conducts correspondence related to work; maintains special security for all tools, equipment, chemicals, etc. which may be used as weapons. Assigns, supervises and evaluates work of employees and inmates; directs inmate apprenticeship training program in occupational areas; submits performance reports on employees and inmates Submits performance reports on employees and inmates; maintains discipline and enforces security measures Performs related duties as required
Required Knowledge Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
