Suburban Supply Route Manager in Harwich, Massachusetts
The Route Manager is responsible for building & maintaining strong relationships with an assigned route of customers provided by Suburban Supply. This role serves as the primary liaison between the customer & the company, ensuring satisfaction with products & services while driving business growth. Key Responsibilities: Customer Relationship Management: Develop & nurture positive relationships with customers. Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries & concerns. Customer Satisfaction & Consulting: Maintain a high level of satisfaction with company products & services. Provide expert consultation by identifying & addressing issues related to warewashing, laundry, & cleaning operations. Service Scheduling & Maintenance: Develop & manage a monthly schedule of preventative maintenance visits, adjusting as needed while adhering to company policy requiring a minimum of one monthly service visit per customer. Track & maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective communication & use of the company ordering application. Sales Growth & Account Expansion: Identify opportunities for sales growth within existing accounts & implement strategies to secure additional business. Equipment Maintenance & Support: Perform preventative maintenance on company-owned & customer-owned equipment, including dishwashers, glasswashers, & hot water boosters. Respond promptly to customer service calls during regular business hours in accordance with company policy. Participate in the rotating & non-rotating on-call service schedule as required by company policy. Prospective Client Development: Identify & pursue new business opportunities to exp& both personal & company growth. Company Vehicle Management: Maintain the company-provided vehicle by scheduling regular maintenance & promptly reporting any issues to minimize workday disruptions. Team Communication: Foster clear & professional communication with direct reports & office staff regarding all job-related activities. Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, & programs to ensure consistency & operational excellence. Qualifications: Proven experience in account management or a related field. Strong organizational & time management skills. Excellent communication & interpersonal abilities. Technical proficiency in maintaining & troubleshooting commercial equipment. Ability to identify & capitalize on sales opportunities. Valid driver\'s license & the ability to maintain a company-provided vehicle.
