Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Senior Administrative Secretary. Subject to management approval, this position will serve as administrative secretary in the Regional Administrators Office. The position will gather and research information, perform follow up on requests by the Regional Administrator, and receive and screen visitors. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Departments operations. Essential Functions
- Serves as Senior Administrative Secretary in the Regional Administrator\'s office
- Keyboards a variety of complex, technical, and confidential material relating to Departmental policy formulations and implementation
- Attends and provides input into various staff meetings to remain informed of proposed changes in current policv and regional activity
- Receives and screens callers and visitors in the Regional Administrators office
- Serves as working supervisor
- Maintains general and confidential files of correspondence and other materials for the Regional Administrator and staff
- Makes travel arrangements for the Regional Administrator and staff
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope ofthe duties enumerated above
