Siemens Smart Buildings Associate Energy Engineer in Hartford, Connecticut

The Associate Energy Engineer primary responsibility is driving growth in our Energy Services business by performing and supervising facility site visits/audits, analyzing the customer’s current situation, and developing Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs). This position works closely with Sales in the identification and qualification of Energy Services projects and supports ongoing service agreements.

As an Associate Energy Engineer, you will:

  • Perform preliminary facility auditsto identify Facility Improvement Measures.

  • Conduct facility site visits to understandbuilding function, operations, and areas for improvement.

  • Assist sales in identification and qualificationof potential Energy Services opportunities.

  • Support the development of preliminary and finalenergy services proposals.

  • Conduct analysis of building energy performancethrough utility bill data.

  • Support assessments of customer buildingperformance through analysis of information obtained from automation systems.

  • Effectively communicate findings for operationaland efficiency improvements to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Participate in client meetings andpresentations.

  • Support development efforts concerningrecommended measures, including scope of work descriptions, sequences ofoperation, savings potential, and cost estimates.

  • Perform energy calculations (such asweather-based BIN calculations).

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field

· Experience working within a team environment

· Experience with Microsoft Office

· Ability to learn functionality of Siemens automation software products

· Verbal and written communication skills in English

· Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

· Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

· Certified Energy Manager or Professional Engineer certification

· 1+ Year of experience in the Energy industry

· Basic knowledge of HVAC principles and design fundamentals

· On-the-job or educational experience with standard ASHRAE energy calculations
