Qualus Senior Business Intelligence Specialist in Hartford, Connecticut
Position Overview
Power your future with Qualus in our Program Management department as a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist. The Senior Business Intelligence Specialist will gather, analyze, and compile data required by various customers. Transforming data correctly with the ability to extract relevant information helping organizations in making sense of the vast volumes of data they possess is key. Mining data utilizing analytics tools, the BIA will report back findings.This role requires a passion for data and a highly analytical mind. Top candidates will also have good written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively explain the dashboards and reports generated.
Responsibilities
Discussing with management and relevant stakeholders to define goals/requirements
Gathers data/business intelligence from a variety of sources
Researching, developing and implementing data-gathering methods
Gathering, cleansing, modeling, and transformation of data
Develop reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI and other related interactive data visualization software
Ability to create customized calculations and measures
Summarizes data for review by executives, managers, clients, and stakeholders
Collaborating with coworkers and management to implement process improvements to support data integrity
Evaluate the effectiveness of generated output
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science required
Technical Skills: Power Bi or Tableau, SQL, Python, DAX
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong reporting skills to present insights concisely
Able to work both alone to analyze findings as well as a team
Ability to communicate findings with management
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to collect and compile relevant data
Organized with great attention to detail
Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically
Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools
