Insight Global Remote FHIR IT Business Analyst in Hartford, Connecticut
Job Description
A healthcare insurance provider is seeking an IT Business Analyst with strong FHIR expertise. This role collaborates closely with business, clinical, and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document both business and technical requirements for healthcare systems. This role works hand-in-hand with development teams to ensure the accurate design and implementation of FHIR-based solutions, including performing API request and response data mapping, validating integration points, and conducting detailed FHIR resource mapping in alignment with interoperability standards. The analyst analyzes healthcare data sets to deliver actionable insights, runs queries against SQL and NoSQL databases for data validation and reporting, and uses tools such as Postman and SoapUI to test APIs and troubleshoot integration issues. They are responsible for producing comprehensive documentation for workflows, data mappings, and system specifications, supporting QA teams in validating technical requirements and resolving defects, and effectively bridging communication gaps between clinical users and technical teams to ensure successful, compliant healthcare integrations.

Skills and Requirements
Strong experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare industry and clinical domain
Proficiency with Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards
Hands-on experience with API testing and data mapping,
FHIR resource mapping, SQL and NoSQL database queries, Tools such as Postman and SoapUI
Solid understanding of healthcare data models and interoperability frameworks
Ability to perform data analysis and interpret complex datasets
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and requirement gathering techniques
