Data Cloud Architect (Remote)

About the role

As a Data Cloud Architect , you will make an impact by leading the technical architecture, implementation, and value realization of Salesforce Data Cloud for our customers. You will be a valued member of our delivery organization and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, client stakeholders, and technical leaders to define scalable, future‑ready customer experience solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Work as part of an overall delivery team to produce a stellar customer experience.

  • Design architecture, data models, and integrations centered around Salesforce Data Cloud, with insight into current and future technology stacks.

  • Ensure that final solutions deliver meaningful, measurable business value and an optimized user experience.

  • Play a key technical role in evaluating new feature requests within the context of the customer’s current and future-state technology landscape.

  • Guide product selection and/or marketing technology stack roadmaps for Salesforce solutions, and provide similar input for non‑Salesforce components.

Work Model: Remote

What you need to have to be considered

  • 6+ years architecting for customer experience.

  • Working knowledge of key digital marketing capabilities: customer identity/context, data management, analytics, automation, orchestration, personalization engines, multi-channel activation, customer engagement.

  • High-level understanding of service-based use cases, trends, and insights.

  • Experience auditing and assessing the maturity of a customer’s CX technology stack, including recommendations for improvement.

  • Experience designing marketing or CX technology stack transformation roadmaps for scale.

  • Experience with stack optimization and consolidation.

  • Strong experience with complex data structures, data modeling, and databases across typical marketing, sales, and service datasets.

  • Ability to provide best-practice guidance on data management and integrations (APIs, file-drops, etc.).

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.

  • Experience leading discoveries, gathering technical requirements, and designing solutions aligned to best practices and platform constraints.

  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interactive in online environments.

These will help you stand out

  • Understanding of agile practices and tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).

  • General understanding of key digital marketing trends.

  • Vision for how AI-based solutions can enhance customer experience and interest in developing related use cases.

  • Experience recommending CX technologies and participating in vendor selection.

  • Knowledge of additional marketing capabilities: content management, real-time and on‑demand context enrichment, and data privacy principles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proactive, can‑do attitude with a solution‑oriented mindset.

  • Ability to articulate and visually demonstrate concepts to enable confident customer decision‑making.

  • Strategic approach to solution design with proven ability to execute tactical plans.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Hands‑on capability within platforms for build or troubleshooting tasks.

  • Ability to write SQL for data analysis and review.

  • Ability to use Postman or similar tools to interact with APIs.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $105,000p.a - $160,000p.a depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
