Cognizant Lead Technical Engineer – C, C++, Unix, and SQL in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
About the role
We are seeking a Service Operations Lead with strong technical expertise in C, C++, Unix, and SQL , along with experience in the Cards and Payments domain. In this role, you will oversee daily service operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high‑quality service delivery across a hybrid work environment.
In this role, you will:
· Oversee day‑to‑day service operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to align service strategies with organizational goals.
Implement service management best practices to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Monitor service performance metrics and take corrective action when needed.
Develop and maintain service documentation to ensure clarity and consistency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
Provide technical guidance in C and C++ for service‑related projects and initiatives.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations within the Cards and Payments domain.
Facilitate training sessions to enhance team skills and service management capabilities.
Evaluate service tools and technologies to optimize performance and delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand needs and deliver tailored service solutions.
Support a hybrid work model by ensuring seamless integration of remote and in‑office operations.

What you need to have to be considered
· Strong hands‑on experience with C, C++, Unix, and SQL .
Proven background in the Cards and Payments domain.
Strong analytical skills to assess service performance and implement improvements.
Experience managing cross‑functional teams to achieve service excellence.
Effective communication skills for client and stakeholder interactions.
Demonstrated success in service management within a hybrid work environment.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $65,447 to $117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
