Purpose Ability to set up and operation of Bladder Press to form various sizes of flat pattern sheet metal aircraft components according to specified written instructions and drawings.

Responsibilities/Tasks Position Requirements

• Must be able to follow detailed standard work procedures for various sizes of flat pattern parts to be formed on the bladder press.
• Must be aware of cosmetic appearance of parts and make sure that the first part and every part is the same,
• Being aware of possible debris or that foreign object debris is not left on the forming blocks that could cause damage or mis forming of parts.
• Able to change out and maintain all different forming blocks used in the area.
• Must be able to understand bladder maintenance requirements
• Calculate, measure, and examine dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers, calipers and portable CMM or FARO to ensure conformance to customer specifications.
• Maintain form blocks in proper operational condition
• Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine product conformance
• Understands material, certifications and traceability and looks out for discrepancies
• Displays a superior knowledge of cosmetic appearance of parts. Catches all flawed parts in the bladder press area instead of during a later operation.
• Communicates well with supervisors and peers and displays a positive attitude
• Performs other related duties, as required

General Requirements

• Advanced blueprint reading, understands work orders and customer requirements
• Maintain machine and tooling. Understands machine maintenance and is pro-active in keeping repairs to a minimum
• Ability to inspect parts. Brings first parts to inspection that meet or exceed engineering requirements
• Motivation displays a positive attitude, offers helpful suggestions, works well under pressure and in a team environment, understands and supports Cox Machining mission and value statement
• Attendance attendance in line with company policy, reliability is expected
• Productivity produces acceptable amount of work, completes projects in a timely manner
• Training ability to learn and ensure required training classes are completed by the scheduled time
• Work closely with shop floor supervision and employees
• Safety follow all guidelines, policies and procedures as related to safety requirements
