Project Manager – Utility Construction

About the Role

We are a utility construction contractor supporting the broadband, water, sewer, and power markets. We are seeking a Project Manager who wants more than managing schedules and budgets. This role is for a hands-on leader who takes ownership, drives execution, develops people, and delivers high-quality projects the right way.

What You'll Do

  • Own projects from planning and mobilization through closeout

  • Lead, manage, and hold Superintendents and field teams accountable for performance and results

  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation with clarity and discipline

  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and internal resources

  • Proactively communicate project status, schedules, and financials to customers and internal leadership

  • Identify risks early and take decisive corrective action to keep projects on track

    What You Bring

  • 2–5 years of experience managing utility or infrastructure construction projects

  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing Superintendents and field crews

  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail

  • Clear, professional communication skills—both written and verbal

  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently

  • Experience using Excel, project management software, and financial tracking tools

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire for long-term growth
