Weapons
Our Weapons business works ethically, to provide complex weapons systems to customers. We equip the Royal Air Force with capabilities such as AMRAAM and Paveway IV precision guided munitions: the Royal Navy with our Phalanx close-in missile defence system and the British Army with Javelin portable anti-tank guided weapon system.
Summary of Role:
Raytheon UK’s Weapons team is seeking a confident and driven Project Manager to lead a high‑performing Integrated Project Team within the Weapons and Sensors business. This role will manage the delivery of technically complex, high‑profile projects while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will drive on‑time, high‑quality delivery, identify and support new business opportunities, and mentor junior Project Managers. The position also offers opportunities for national and international travel to customers and suppliers.
Essential
Degree-qualified in a technical, manufacturing, or project management discipline (or equivalent experience); formal PM qualification desirable
Proven Project Manager with experience delivering complex projects to time, cost, quality, and P&L targets
Strong issue, scope, risk, and opportunity management skills
Confident decision‑maker using project data and performance metrics
Experience managing project finances, reporting, and forecasting
Ability to lead and direct multi‑disciplinary teams effectively
Desirable
Experience in relevant industry domains
Strong stakeholder management skills, including customer and senior leadership engagement
Experience in capture/proposal management and winning bids
Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills
Proactive problem‑solver, able to work under pressure
Credible engagement with technical specialists and budget management
