Big Horn County is seeking an Economic Development & Housing Director. Salary: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour depending on qualifications. Hours: 40 hours per week; Variable hours; Attendance at after-hours meetings is required. Major Duties: • Aggressively promote economic growth for Big Horn County through strategic planning, community engagement, and collaboration with various stakeholders. • Provide assistance for new businesses and industrial growth and assistance for existing business expansion and retention. • Coordinate economic development efforts with local, tribal, state and federal resources. • Direct planning aimed at deciding methods to be used in carrying out the objectives and implementation policies of the County. Qualifications: • Graduation from high school or its equivalent. • Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, and listening are required. • Must possess a valid Montana Driver License and must be an insurable driver. • Associates degree and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in the field of community or economic development with local government experience desirable. • Bachelor's degree in business management, economics or another relevant field is preferred. • Computer experience is helpful.
