Birchwood Construction Company Senior Staff Accountant in Harbor Springs, Michigan
Location: On-site | Harbor Springs, MI Salary: $65,000--$80,000 per year (based on education and experience)

Key Responsibilities
Construction Billing
- Set up and maintain project estimates and contracts
- Review material and labor reports; resolve discrepancies
- Process change orders in conjunction with Project Managers
- Prepare and submit monthly owner billing statements
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Approve and process invoices, expense reports, and payments
- Monitor vendor discounts, tax compliance, and schedule payments (checks, ACH)
- Reconcile vendor accounts, bank statements, general ledger accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Record incoming payments and apply them to customer accounts
- Process remote check deposits
General Accounting Duties
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- Maintain accounting records, policies, and procedures
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
- Assist with special projects as assigned
* Qualifications*
- Degree in Accounting
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
