Air Force Materiel Command CHIEF, PERSONNEL SYSTEM MANAGEMENT- DIRECT HIRING AUTHORITY in Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts

The primary purpose of this position is to serve To serve as personnel systems administrator and technical specialist for the Military Personnel Flight's (MPF) various technical management and process improvement solutions and various Information Technology (IT)/Information System (IS) computer systems and software. Responsibilities Administers Military Personnel Data Systems. Administers Internet-based, Oracle-based Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS) applications and provides technical support and advisory services to include system security, user account management, printer and peripheral management, user access and connectivity, and monitoring application software changes or releases. Provides PDS customers with assistance/training. Promotes the use of PDS by providing instructions to functional area users on automated applications and systems. Provides management advisory services and technical assistance to Commanders, Management Officials, and Staff requiring access for utilization of information contained in the various PDS. Passport Agent will review the application for proper completion, presentation of documentary evidence of birth in the United States or naturalization, and record the evidence submitted for proof of identity. OR EDUCATION: Applicant must have successfully completed 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Applicant must have a combination of general experience and education listed above in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, that when combined equals 100% of the qualification's requirement. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of military personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, publications. 2. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, techniques, standards, processes, and guides of personnel management and ability to relate to personnel systems. 3. Skills in analyzing issues and formulating solutions to issues that often have General/Flag Officer, Material Leader, or other very high visibility. 4. Skills to plan and organize work to meet program objectives and mission needs. 5. Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to accurately assess information and make sound decisions. 6. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, both orally and in writing. ? PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
