Job Title: Panel Builder Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and wiring electrical panels according to schematics. You will work with various components and ensure that panels are ready for customer delivery or machinery connection.

Responsibilities

  • Use electrical schematics to layout panels/enclosures.

  • Determine placement of racks/rails, drill and tap holes, and install components such as push buttons, power supplies, and motor controls.

  • Wire panels according to specifications.

  • Connect panels to machinery 25% of the time, with 75% of panels being sent to customers without machine connection.

  • Work with Rittal Cabinets/Enclosures and Eaton components.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in building and wiring panels per schematic.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

  • Ownership of personal tools or willingness to purchase them.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Machine wiring experience is a plus, as it enhances panel building capabilities.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, climate-controlled, and well-lit manufacturing facility dedicated to new machine assembly. Our organized shop floor ensures a safe and efficient work environment. The position operates on a flexible 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities to start as early as 5 am or as late as 8 am after training. Employees work an 8-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, typically totaling 40 hours per week with minimal overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
