3 months verifiable experience required.
Duties may include: Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and prune plants, shrubs, and trees, using gardening tools, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping. Load agricultural products such as hay and trees onto trucks. For calving season, workers will also be responsible for examining animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Workers will feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies during calving season to ensure new calves are getting proper dietary needs met, mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Segregate animals according to weight, age, color, and physical condition, & other related Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).
