Job Duties

Hours: 45 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day 8:00 am - 5:00pm and Saturday 5 hours/day

Job Duties:

Employees will need to haul crops from field to farm and water to spray, operating a quad trac tractor for tillage, operating edible kidney bean equipment, operating and servicing center pivot irrigators, fork lifting, and operating grain cart. Complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment.

Minimum Education Required

No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

Job requires a regular driver's license within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.

Additional Compensation

Employer may, at its sole discretion, provide pay increases based on longevity or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
