Aerotek Mechanical Assembler in Hampshire, Illinois
Mechanical Assembler – 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm)
Overtime: 3–5 hours/week

We’re hiring a Mechanical Assembler to help build high‑quality industrial sweeping machines from the ground up. If you enjoy hands‑on mechanical work, using tools, and assembling complex equipment, this role is an excellent fit.
What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Assembler, you’ll rotate through multiple build stations and complete detailed, hands‑on tasks, including:
Following detailed work instructions to assemble industrial sweeping machines
Using hand and power tools such as screw guns, wrenches, sockets, and impact tools
Working across four main assembly stations , each requiring 4–5 hours of mechanical work
Installing mechanical components: brakes, tires, engines, lift arms
Assembling radiators, hoses, wiring harnesses, and hydraulic sub‑assemblies
Completing final assembly by electrifying the machine, adding sheet metal, and installing hoppers
What You Bring
Mechanical or hydraulic assembly experience
Ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Experience in heavy assembly, mechanical repair, military equipment repair, trade school training, or manufacturing
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Engine repair experience
Knowledge of mechanical hardware (nuts, bolts, sockets, etc.)
Previous work in equipment assembly or manufacturing

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampshire, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
