Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for using work instructions and hand tools to build industrial sweeping machines. This role involves using screw guns, sockets, wrenches, and other power tools to assemble hydraulic, electrical, and sub-assembly parts. The position includes four different assembly stations, each becoming progressively more complex, which involve installing the brakes, tires, engine, lift arms, radiator, hoses, harnesses, sub-assemblies, electrifying the machine, and installing the sheet metal and hopper in the final assembly. Each assembly station requires approximately 4-5 hours of labor.
Responsibilities
Use work instructions and hand tools to assemble industrial sweeping machines.
Operate screw guns, sockets, wrenches, and other power tools.
Perform hydraulic, electrical, and sub-assembly installations.
Work across four assembly stations, completing tasks of increasing complexity.
Install various machine components such as brakes, tires, engines, and radiators.
Conduct final assembly tasks including electrifying the machine and installing sheet metal.
Essential Skills
Mechanical assembly

Experience with heavy assembly tasks
Proficiency with wrenches, hand tools, and power tools
Experience in mechanics
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of sockets, wrenches, nuts, bolts, and screw guns
Mechanical aptitude
Experience from military mechanics, trade schools, or manufacturing companies

Work Environment
Work in a clean manufacturing setting with multiple assembly stations instead of a traditional line assembly. The environment is well-lit and safety-conscious. Work first shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional 3-5 hours of overtime per week.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampshire, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
