AAA Valley Fire Equipment Inc. Fire Extinguisher and Fire Suppression System Technician in Hammond, Indiana
As a Fire Extinguisher and Fire Suppression System Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety of our clients facilities. You will inspect, test, service, and install fire extinguishers and kitchen fire suppression systems, ensuring all equipment meets local and national fire safety codes.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, test, and service portable fire extinguishers.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair of fire suppression systems, including kitchen hood systems.
Install new fire suppression systems according to manufacturer and code requirements.
Operate power tools safely and effectively during installation and maintenance tasks.
Keep accurate records of inspections, services, and installations.
Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards and local regulations.
Educate clients on proper use and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in fire safety, fire extinguisher service, or related field is preferred, but training is provided.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Comfortable using power tools and performing hands-on mechanical work.
Must pass
three separate certificationsto become a licensed technician.
