Job Title: Production Operator
Job Description
As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and changing over packaging line equipment. You will conduct quality checks, manage machine start and stop procedures, and perform basic troubleshooting. Working closely with packagers, you will ensure the line runs smoothly and utilize computers and scales for data entry. Completing necessary paperwork and sanitation tasks will also be part of your role.
Responsibilities
Setup and changeovers of packaging line equipment
Conduct quality checks on weights, labels, packaging, and jams
Start and stop machines for basic troubleshooting
Collaborate with packagers to ensure smooth line operation
Utilize computer and scale for data entry
Complete necessary paperwork and sanitation tasks
Essential Skills
3+ years of machine operating experience on a packaging line
Experience with basic troubleshooting
Strong English communication skills (reading and writing)
Ability to lift 30lbs repetitively
Experience with forklift operation, HMI, line operation, labelling, packing, and quality assurance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Experience leading a production line
Strong understanding of Health and Safety protocols
Strong knowledge of GMP protocols and ability to enforce GMP on the production floor

Work Environment
The work environment is a large manufacturing/GMP facility with state-of-the-art, heavily automated equipment. The facility is temperature-controlled and very clean. Compliance with GMP requirements is mandatory, including the use of PPE such as hairnets, beardnets, and coats, along with safety shoes. The facility operates 24/7 with rotating continental day and night shifts (7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM). A sample schedule includes rotating shifts, allowing for a balanced work-life routine. The facility employs about 400-500 people, with approximately 100 individuals per crew across four crews.

The pay range for this position is $28.12 - $28.12/hr.
