Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery. Your role will include tasks such as machine and equipment relocations, installations of equipment, lines, and systems, welding and custom fabrication, as well as commissioning and start-up support. You will also handle preventative and scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and manage shutdowns and breakdowns within the facility.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair industrial equipment and machinery.
Relocate machines and equipment.
Install equipment, lines, and systems.
Conduct welding and custom fabrication.
Decommission equipment and machinery.
Provide commissioning and start-up support.
Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance.
Handle shutdowns and breakdowns.
Troubleshoot and diagnose facility issues.
Upgrade and modify facility components.
Provide maintenance shift coverage.
Essential Skills
5 years of experience in maintenance.
Proficiency in rigging and hoisting.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repair.
Experience working with bearings, belts, and conveyors.
Skills in welding and electrical troubleshooting.
Knowledge of maintenance repair and conveyor systems.
Understanding of 3-phase electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certification in WAH, LOTO, WHMIS, and 4 STEPS.
Additional certifications may be required depending on the site, such as Confined Spaces, AODA, Elevated work platforms, Fall Arrest, propane safety, electrical safety, and fire extinguisher training.

Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
