Berry Brook Farm Farmworker in Hamden, New York
4 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Job available 04/06/2026 - 10/31/2026.
All field work including seeding, transplanting, cultivating, harvesting, field preparations (plowing, discing), irrigation management, washing and packing vegetables for the following vegetables: asparagus, basil, beets, blueberries, bok choy, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, celeriac, celery, chard, cilantro, chinese cabbage, cabbage, cucumber, dandelion, dill, eggplant, fennel, flowers, ginger, kale, leeks, lettuce, mustard greens, onions, parsley, peas, peppers, potatoes, radicchio, radishes, raspberries, salad mix, scallions, summer squash/zucchini, winter squash, tomatoes, turnips , driving to farmers markets to unload produce. Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess
Requirements:
- 3 months experience of the duties mentioned
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Extensive sitting/walking
- Frequent stooping, and repetitive movements
