Job Title: Welder
Job Description
As a Welder, you will engage in MIG welding of stainless steel, setting up and maintaining welding machines, and welding in various positions including vertical, horizontal, and overhead. Your role will involve inspecting welds for quality, reading blueprints to guide your work, and grinding and cleaning where necessary. You will collaborate within a team of 2-3 individuals to achieve precise and high-quality results.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding of stainless steel.
Set up and maintain welding machines, including tip, liner changes, etc.
Weld in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
Inspect welds for cracks, burn-through, and weld spatter.
Read and interpret blueprints to weld final products.
Grind and clean areas as required.
Collaborate effectively in a team setting of 2-3 individuals.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG welding.
Experience with stainless steel welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of weld theory.
Experience with TIG welding and using grinders.

Work Environment
The work environment offers a first shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6am-4:30pm. Clean Air Hoods are available on site for your safety and comfort. This role is suitable for individuals fresh out of trade school who understand weld theory, even if they lack real on-the-job experience.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hamburg, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
