Core Responsibilities

• Support Engaging Learning Environments: Oversee custodial operations that create and sustain spaces conducive to innovative teaching and active learning, ensuring facilities support our mission of engaging all students in learning experiences that inspire lifelong learning.

• Lead and Inspire Custodial Staff: Assign, supervise, and inspect custodial and maintenance work, fostering a culture that honors every learner and employee as a unique person while promoting teamwork, accountability, and pride in our shared environment.

• Promote Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence: Track inventory and usage of supplies, recommend new equipment or procedures, and implement improvements that demonstrate our commitment to being proud of our past and dedicated to our future through thoughtful stewardship of district resources.

• Safeguard Facilities and Systems: Monitor heating systems, perform routine inspections (including roofs, drains, etc.), and ensure walkways are clear and safe—demonstrating care for the physical spaces that empower students for their future and support the health and well-being of all who use them.

• Foster Collaboration and Community: Build a trusting relationship and work effectively with administrators, teachers, students, and the public to coordinate facility use and events, modeling a spirit of service that inspires the love of learning and strengthens the sense of community across the district.
