In our commercial modifications team, we are proud to operate under our EASA Part21J Design Organization Approval; with a clear mission: to become the number one customer choice for aircraft retrofit solutions in the commercial aviation market. Our international team, with strong presences in Hamburg and Munich, specializes in interior retrofit projects, ranging from halon fire extinguisher replacements to full cabin tube strips.

As we expand our operations in Germany, we are excited to grow our Seat Integration Team in Hamburg, focusing on unique seat certification and integration for all Boeing aircraft models. In this role you will:

  • Be responsibleforand leadthe certificationactivities foraircraftseating products, with the BoeingCommercial Airplanes business unit,toproduce STCs thatpermitpost-deliveryinstallation of new seating products.

  • Be a technicalfocalpointand Boeing representativeforstress,structuresand certificationtopicsrelated to seat integrationintotheairplane.

  • Perform analyticaland finite element (FE) calculations, assess and predict structural failure modesand performroot cause analysiswhen needed.

  • Compile structural substantiation documentsand reviewsupplierdata for integration approval ofallseattypesanduniqueseatfeaturesinto the airframe.

  • Work closely withBoeing teamsand otherinternal and externalstakeholdersto ensureour products aredelivered in the correct conditionand quality.

What you bring to the table:

Basic qualifications ( R equired Skills/Experience ):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Stress/Structures/Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.

  • 8+years' experience in commercialaircraftdesign within an EASA Part 21, Subpart J Design Organization (or equivalent).

  • Experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) for Structures in current orpreviousrole.

  • Demonstrated experience with certification under EASA Part 21J.

  • Experience within seatdevelopment and certification from concept through approval,including testwitnessingandETSO (i.e.: C127, C39 series) performance standards foraircraftseats knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) :

  • Experience: You haveadeep knowledge of EASA airworthiness regulations and applicable requirements (e.g.CS-25) and related ACs and AMCs; relevant to §25.562 and occupant protection.

  • Knowledge: You showa high levelof attention to detail and bring extensive experience withaircraftinterior modification programs including certifying novel seat features such as pre-tensioners and air bags. You thrive while working on multiple programs with varying levels of requirements.

  • Collaboration: You are experienced in leading complex projects including influencing team members and stakeholders (suppliers, customers, solution providers) involved and are willing to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff.

  • Tools: You candemonstratesolidexpertisewith key engineering tools:ENOVIA, Catia V5/V6,AltairHyper Works, PATRAN / NASTRAN.

  • Personality: You are a principled, reliable professional who values integrity, safety, and accountability, always striving for the highest standards of quality and ethical conduct. Inclusive and collaborative by nature, you communicate transparently, respect diverse perspectives and take ownership to drive results the right way.

  • Flexibility: You are comfortable with a variable work statement. Our stakeholders/teams arelocatedaround the globe; this can require you to be flexible to support meetings to cover different time zones.
