Pelton Farm Ag Equipment Operator in Halliday, North Dakota
Temporary full time from 2/28/2026 - 12/15/2026 Workers will assist with general grain farm operations on approximately 3,000 acres of tillable land. Duties include planting corn and sunflowers, seeding help, and harvesting of crops using various farm machinery. Workers will be required to drive and operate equipment such as tractors, seeders, combines, and other harvesting machinery. Workers must be capable and have experience driving semis with 13-speed transmissions to transport grain and farm products. Additional responsibilities include maintenance of equipment and vehicles, such as routine checks, minor repairs, and keeping machinery in clean working order. Workers will also perform general farm labor such as keeping the farmyard tidy and other related tasks assigned by the employer. The job requires responsibility, attention to detail, and a willingness to perform a range of tasks as needed based on weather and seasonal demand. Dependability and prior experience with the specified tasks are essential. Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
