Job Title: Intermediate Mechanical Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of precision mechanical systems used in advanced manufacturing and technology-driven applications. This role plays a critical part in bringing engineering concepts from initial design through production while supporting ongoing product and process improvements.
The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical design experience, a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, and thrives in a fast-paced, engineering-focused environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet demanding performance and reliability requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through release to manufacturing
Create and maintain detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities to ensure designs meet functional and performance requirements
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective design improvements or corrective actions
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, tooling, and equipment
Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical decision-making
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Demonstrated experience in mechanical design and product development
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Additional Skills & Qualifications (Preferred)
Experience supporting precision equipment, optical systems, or high‑tolerance mechanical assemblies
Exposure to test methods, validation, and failure analysis
Familiarity with ERP and/or PLM systems
Experience working in regulated or quality-driven environments

Compensation
This role is expected to pay between $95,000-$115,000 annually

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
