Royal Canin is entering a pivotal phase in its growth trajectory, redefining how it delivers value in an increasingly digital, complex, and regulated environment. This exciting role is critical to Royal Canin's transformation, shaping and enabling the strategic evolution of key global functions in Corporate Affairs & Corporate Supporting Functions, Enterprise Effectiveness and Functional Complements:

  • Digitalize and reinvent recommendation: Reimagine how scientific engagement, Corporate Affairs, and pet professional digital learning ecosystems evolve to support a next-generation model.

  • Corporate Affairs transformation: Reshape strategy to address a new operating landscape, including EOS and GDP transformations, ensuring alignment with long-term Mars & Royal Canin corporate ambitions.

  • Enterprise Effectiveness (ESO / Global): Act as a strategic Digital Technologies partner to the Global Enterprise Effectiveness function, leveraging advanced technologies to bring the new operating model to life across the organization.

  • Legal & Corporate Functions: Redesign critical capabilities, such as Global Trade, modernizing processes and equipping teams with next-generation digital tools.

  • Functional Complements: Act as a Digital Technologies strategic partner to the Global Functional Complements organization, defining and delivering the technology strategy that empowers business objectives across functional areas.

  • This role will be a critical contributor to this agenda.

Mission summary

The Global Digital Technology Business Partner for Corporate Affairs, Corporate functions and ESO Functional Business Partner defines the Digital Technology Strategy for multiple capabilities to support the Global functions. He leads a team to execute that strategy at global level and across the regions. He shapes the global capability(ies) roadmaps to support this strategy and enable the conditions of success for the future in-market activation.

He builds trusted relationships with the global/functional & Regional leadership teams to understand the business objectives and define how technology can support them. Constantly learn and network inside and outside the business to bring innovation in his functional area.

Here below is an outlook of the essential responsibilities of this role:

  • Build credibility and establish rapport by maintaining open communication with all internal and external stakeholders to achieve Royal Canin objectives.

  • Engaged with Functional Global and Regional teams to understand their strategies and problems and define the digital technology strategy to support the function's long-term objectives. Accountable for business value creation & Realization via digital in the demand area.

  • Contribute to shape the global functional strategy of the functional area and define the Digital Technology strategic roadmap for multiple capabilities that supports Global and Regional objectives.

  • Lead the functional digital technology governance meetings to align strategy, prioritize

  • Investment and unlock challenges for 1 or multiple Demand capabilities.

  • Collaborates with business sponsors and managers to create clear outcomes, scope, approach, and business case for for 1 or multiple Demand capabilities.

  • Works in partnership with stakeholders from EOS Transformation, GDP & Petcare Ecosystem and any other strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with the Global Functional Objectives.

  • Monitors the progression of projects through the delivery phase, working with deployment and Digital Technology teams in the regions to ensure the realization of the benefits.

  • Works with the Global Program Office and the Delivery Leads to facilitate the project approval process with the Global Steering Committee.

  • Identify, measure, track, and report on key success metrics to ensure alignment to products, business goals, and company priorities.

  • Responsible for ensuring the Functional Architecture for 1 or multiple Demand capabilities is sustainable and aligned with the corporate mandate and industry best practices.

  • Collaborates with Digital Technology Functional leaders in other segments to learn from their experience and bring any best practices that would be relevant for Royal Canin.

  • Constantly learn about the functional area inside and outside the organization. Network with external experts and vendors in the area to stay up to speed with digital trends and proactively push innovation in Royal Canin.

  • Lead a team of 1-2 Global project managers or product leads.

  • Ensures the implementation of company policies and guidelines in alignment with local legal. requirements, cultural specifics, and business practices.

The role requires:

  • Good understanding of a company’s business and technology strategies and established business process areas and how technology may impact and enhance business processes.

  • 5+ years of experience in relevant business (IT or business function)

  • Able to evaluate technology, Architect a functional landscape and process alternatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills as well as high interpersonal skills

  • Must be customer focused with a demonstrated ability to form a productive relationship with a

  • wide constituency, including business leaders, IT personnel, and vendors.

  • Ability to balance Global, Regional and Local tensions.

  • Strong consultative skills, problem analysis.

  • Should have a proven track record of delivering results in two or more of the following three areas:

  • Senior Stakeholder Management, Digital Technology Strategy, Project Management

  • Willingness to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

  • Experience in Design Thinking for ideation.

  • Strong project/product management skills with familiarity with a variety of tools and techniques
