Aerotek Forklift Operator And Material Handler in Hagerstown, Maryland

Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Forklift Operator and Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual machines to cut landscape blocking, loading and unloading products into machines, performing quality checks on items, and operating forklifts as needed to move pallets.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual machines to cut landscape blocking.

  • Load and unload products into machines.

  • Perform quality checks on items to ensure standards are met.

  • Operate forklifts as needed to move pallets and materials.

  • Load customer vehicles and move products around the yard.

  • Physically lift and stack blocks, handling weights of 50-100 lbs.

Essential Skills

  • General production and material handling skills.

  • Comfortable with heavy lifting and working in a dirty, non-climate controlled environment.

  • Experience working in a stone block and concrete manufacturing setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in masonry or block work.

  • Experience with hand tools and concrete work.

  • Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
