Hiring a CNC Machinist in Hagerstown, MD
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team, responsible for the CNC set-up and operation of mills and lathes, including both horizontal and vertical machines. The role also involves operating some manual mills and utilizing precision instruments such as calipers, gages, and scales. You will interpret blueprints and work orders for job specifications and perform G&M Code edits, working with tolerances of +/- 5 and geometric dimension tolerances. This position is in a job shop environment, where familiarity with different metals, tolerances, and prints is essential.
This is a permanent direct-hire role
1st shift
$25-$35/hour based on skills and experience

Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes (horizontal and vertical).
Operate manual mills as needed.
Utilize precision instruments such as calipers, gages, and scales.
Read and interpret blueprints and work orders for job specifications.
Perform G&M Code edits.
Work with tolerances of +/- 5 and geometric dimension tolerances.
Adapt to working with different metals and prints in a job shop environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $72800.00/yr.
