Job Information
Eaton Corporation Senior Engineer - Breaktor Product Engineering in Hadapsar, India
What you’ll do:
Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. As a standalone company, the Mobility business will be more focused and agile, creating exciting opportunities for employees to grow, innovate, and help shape the future of mobility. The separation reflects strong confidence in the Mobility team and positions the new company as an employer of choice in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
Design, develop, and validate mechanical and electromechanical components for Eaton Breaktor products, with responsibility for operating mechanisms, contact carrier assemblies, structural components, and interfaces between actuation and protection elements. Create complex 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using Siemens NX / Creo, applying GD&T to ensure functional robustness, dimensional control, and manufacturability.
Integrate knowledge of manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, machining, and assembly to optimize designs for cost, quality, and scalability. Lead and support prototype builds, functional and endurance validation, and teardown analysis, ensuring product performance aligns with requirements and applicable protection product standards.
Work closely with systems, electrical, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and project management teams through Eaton’s product development processes to ensure efficient execution and design maturity. While the primary responsibility is on Breaktor, the role contributes to component reuse, platform alignment, and design practices applicable to other protection devices within the protection products portfolio, applying DFSS and quality tools to drive robust and reliable designs."
