What you’ll do:

Eaton Corporation’s Center for Intelligent Power has an opening for a Senior Data Scientist, who is passionate about his or her craft, and poses innate entrepreneurial spirit to explore the uncharted in the cutting edge of science and technology. The Data Scientist will be experienced in Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI based algorithm development to answer challenging business questions. In addition to this Data Scientist will also be involved in successful integration of these algorithms in edge or cloud systems using CI/CD and software release process.This work will help businesses across the enterprise solve critical business problems, uncover new business opportunities, and turn their large volumes of data into valuable, actionable insights.

"• Design data-driven solutions to solve critical business problems, understand company needs, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance or develop products using new or existing data streams.

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that support decision-making for internal stakeholders

• Integrate data & perform ad-hoc analysis and prototype ideas, research and develop statistical models, and run experiments

• Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into analytical solutions

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytics workflows using Python and Azure services

• Deploy and manage analytics solutions on Azure, including Azure Functions and data storage services

• Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in complex datasets

• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability through validation, monitoring, and documentation

• Present analytical findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using visualizations and structured narratives

• Contribute to architecture and design decisions for scalable analytics and reporting solutions

• Support and enhance existing analytics products and dashboards based on evolving business needs

• Mentor others in the use of tools and techniques

• Create Reusable components which would accelerate algorithm development cycle"

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Mechnaical Engineering / Computer Science Engineering

"• 5+ years of progressive experience in delivering technology solutions in a production environment

• 5 years working with customers (internal and external) on developing requirements and working to deliver end-to-end solution

Skills:

"Required

• Master's degree in Mechnaical Engineering or Computer Science field with strong knowledge in data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization.

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling (DAX), report development, dashboards, and performance optimization

• Strong hands-on programming experience in Python for data analysis, data preparation, automation, and exploratory analytics

• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data using SQL and Python-based data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy, etc.)

• Working knowledge of Azure cloud services, including deployment and operation of analytics solutions using services such as:Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Storage (Blob, Data Lake), Azure SQL

• Experience building and deploying analytics solutions or pipelines in Azure using CI/CD practices

• Basic knowledge of machine learning approaches is a plus

• Understanding of data quality, data validation, and monitoring concepts for production analytics systems

• Strong problem-solving skills, software debugging skills and ability to translate business or engineering questions into analytical solutions

Desired:

• Experience analyzing data from mechanical systems, power systems, mobility, energy, or industrial equipment

• Exposure to time-series data analysis, condition monitoring, or predictive maintenance use cases
